Supply main This is the pipe that runs between the interconnection with the transmission system and feeder mains. It may also be used to provide a direct connection from the transmission system to a large industrial customer or a power plant.
Feeder main This is the pipe that connects the supply main (at a regulator station) to distribution mains.
Distribution main This is the pipe that snakes through the service territory bringing gas through neighborhoods and business districts.
